2014-06-01: New Barlap Alerts

 Have you ever began a batch renewal but then realized you couldn’t proceed since each filing in the batch had a different fee? This has now been corrected! In the batch renewal wizard, you now have the option to enter one fee for each license or to download a spreadsheet in which you can enter the fees, penalties and interest for each filing in the batch. Once the spreadsheet is imported into BLMS, the fees will have been entered on the filing level. You can then go ahead and continue as you normally would (by either choosing to export a check request if necessary or to proceed without a check request).

 You now have the option to select a default GL account for each entity. The benefit of selecting a default GL account is that next time you enter a payment, you will not have to choose which GL account should be associated with the payment. The default GL account will automatically be selected. You will still have the option of entering a payment and associating it with a different GL account, but the default GL account will not have to be selected.

 Check out the new default check method setting. This setting will allow you to choose the default check method for payments, as shown in the screenshot below.

 Check out the new videos posted under the support section. You can access the videos by clicking your username, selecting Support and then clicking on Training Videos. These videos will go over the basics of BLMS software, such as adding a license,  renewing a license and the like.

You’ll notice in the System Preferences and in the User Preferences section, there is a new option there called Alerts. We have moved the Alert options to its own page and added some new functionality. Now alerts can be set up by the System Administrator, in the system preferences section, for all users. Users can choose to override the setting, by setting their own prefereneces in the user preferences section. For customers that have purchases the contracts and real estate add-ons, they will have additional alerts settings for contracts and real estate.
